The following PTO members are running for a PTO Officer position in the upcoming election:

Hello, my name is Jessica Awad and I am running for the position of PTO President for the 2014-2015 & the 2015-2016 school years.

For the last 2 years I have served as your PTO President. In those two years I have planned (a total of 5 because I have been the social committee chair since 2011) the Fall and Spring picnics, Career day (3), Movie nights (3), Spirit week (2) and more. I have been a member of each committee and have tried my best to help in all areas of the PTO. I really enjoy my position with the CMES PTO and would love to continue for another term, which would have to be my last.

When the CMES PTA became a PTO I took over as president. To be honest I had NO IDEA what I was doing but I would like to think we have survived (haha). I have made it because of the amazing support I have and still do receive from the community, the staff and the wonderful board of directors CMES has been blessed with. I have given my all to make changes to the organization and after having the last two years under my belt, I feel the best is yet to come. I hope that even it they are small, you have noticed the changes that have been lucky enough to make it through. I have a lot of new and fun ideas for the students, staff and parents and I only hope that I will have another two years to make those ideas come to life, here at our wonderful school!

Thank you for your time. I hope to see you all at elections on May 28th at 3pm!!

My name is Kathleen Parlett and I am running for PTO Treasurer. My husband, Basil, and I have lived in Crofton Meadows since 1999. I am the mother of 6 children ages 17, 17, 17, 15, 13 and 8. We have been a CMES family since my triplets entered kindergarten in 2001. Since that time I have helped out in many ways: classroom volunteer, field trip chaperone, ticket store helper, Operation Read coordinator, and substitute teacher, etc. I have been a member of the PTA/PTO each year and have seen all the things that the PTO does for our school and for our children. I am just finishing my third year as treasurer and would like to continue to serve the PTO and school in this way.
