Build Crofton High School Rally –
WHEN: Wednesday, May 21st, 6:30pm (organizing in the parking lot, the BOE meeting starts at 7pm)
WHERE: Board of Education, Administration Building, 2644 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD
WHAT: BCHS will testify before the Board of Education about the need for a high school in Crofton. We will be testifying during the “Public Participation” portion of the meeting (very early on in the meeting) and leaving after that portion of the meeting is finished.
WHY: There is a rapidly approaching capacity problem in our county’s high schools and the answer to that problem is a Crofton high school. We must show that Crofton is united and that it is not “just a couple of parents from Crofton”, but an entire community! We need them to stop splitting up our community!
HOW: Wear purple if you have it and stand up when the two spokespersons for BCHS testify (3 minutes each). We’ll also stand in support of any of our elected officials that show up to testify in support as well.
Students, parents, grandparents, and neighbors all standing together as one community united can’t be stopped! WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Anne Arundel County Public Schools Volunteer Recognition Tea – The Volunteer Recognition Tea will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m., at Michael’s Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie to thank volunteers for their time and efforts. If you would like to attend please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by May 9, 2014. You must RSVP to attend to reserve your seat.
