Greetings Crofton Meadows Elementary School Community,

It was announced at the Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, June 18th that I will be the new Principal at Edgewater Elementary School. I wanted to thank you all for your support. The Crofton Meadows Elementary School community is a great one and I wish you the best of luck in the future.

All teacher requests have been given to our Reading teacher, Mrs. Redmond, and will be forwarded to the new Principal once she completes her transfer.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer.

Monday, August 25, 2014 – First Day of School for 1st – 5th graders.

~~ Announcements ~~

Summer Office Hours – The CMES office will be open Monday – Thursday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Operation Read – There are still many Operation Read books and bags that were not returned. If you come across materials at home this summer, please bring them to the office or send them with your student next school year.

Playground Committee – The county has proposed a plan for the new playground. The CMES PTO is forming a playground committee to investigate and discuss possible upgrades and/or additions to their plans. If you are interested in joining, contact Kathleen Parlett at

Transferring Students – If you are moving over the summer and your child will not be returning to CMES for the 2014-2015 school year, please contact Mrs. Rostad in the main office at 410-721-9453 so that transfer papers can be prepared. You will need these transfer papers in order to enroll your child in their new school.
